The DTG Digital® G4 direct to garment printer is a versatile machine that sets a new standard for quality of printing while delivering outstanding speed for its market segment. Powered by DuPont™ Color F Series Ink, DTG G4 can create fade resistant and durable prints with a wide color gamut. The most affordable commercial DTG printer.
The DTG Digital G4 offers special magnetic, threadable, inter-changeable platens in various sizes for infant through to ultra wide and long garment prints, hoodies and sleeves. These tables are manufactured in Vietnam to accommodate a variety of DTG printing requirements of the local market. Built for industrial all-shift operation, with features that make any novice operator a pro in no time at all – it is by far the easiest DTG printer in the market to run and maintain.
The DTG Digital G4 meets the production requirements of demanding users along with being super simple to install and use. Starting with an IKEA®-type of installation which takes less than 30 minutes after unpacking, the use of the printer is also as simple as 1-2-3. With a simple to use intuitive touch 7˝ display panel, any operator will be using the unit in minutes after set-up. The feature set works for both entry level personnel to sophisticated users, since its full capabilities are similar to far more expensive DTG printers in the market today.
Constructed of steel components, the DTG Digital G4 is built to last. With a 2-year conditional warranty including 1 year on print heads, the unit is the only printer in its class to offer an added 2nd year warranty at no cost. The warranty covers all parts with the exception of any consumable parts which experience daily wear and tear.

White T-Shirt: 20×25 cm design
Black T-Shirt: 20×25 cm design
When printing a light colored shirt with no white ink, a 20x25cm design will print in 28-36 seconds, thus the output is approximately 70+ pcs per hour.
Dark shirt printing the same 20x25cm design will require a white underbase and color layer on top – it will produce in real time 32-36 shirts per hour at this size. If you are printing a larger design, then it will be slower. So safely assume between 1:45 minutes (A4+ size) to 3+ minutes on average (A3+ size), and it will certainly depend on how big the design is.
Print Queue – the fastest and seamless repeat of artwork printing from a control panel of DTG Digital® G4
Save time by opening file in the RIP software and sending it to RIP and print only once! The rest is handled by means of running a Printing Queue on your DTG Digital G4 digital control display.
Additionally, G4’s Print Queue function will store up to 20 artworks in the memory of the printer. Any artwork from the printer’s memory can be uploaded onto a USB drive. Save them for later, and once you plug in your USB – you can access those designs via the Print Queue. Fast and easy!
How can G4 printhead deliver speed and quality simultaneously?
Using advanced industrial Ricoh piezo printhead GH2220 technology, the overall operation life cycle is extended due to the robustness and automated cleaning functions of the G4 DTG engine. With higher print head kilohertz frequency (up to 30 kHz) – speed is a major advantage along with minimum and maximum drop values of 2 – 37pcl. Up to 1200dpi resolution, an increased firing rate and faster scan speeds, deliver pinpoint registration and vibrancy. The G4 DTG print heads are rated for billions of actuations.

G4 printhead enables new standard for professional direct prints
Each print head on the DTG G4 Direct To Garment Printer has a damper reservoir with 2 sensors that measure the temperature and volume of the ink and adjusts the waveform to suit the inks. By adjusting the wave form to the ink by individual colour and each individual head, the DTG G4 delivers minimal nozzle deflection with a superior ink flow, maintaining a precise viscosity equilibrium at all print head nozzles simultaneously.
The dampers in the G4 printhead are designed as an automated de-bubbling system, an industry first that is not seen on any other printer. The dampers are pressurized so any excess air in the system is automatically released via a built-in plunge diaphragm. This equates to less air in the production cycle and drastically reduces drying time for pigmented inks.
The right ink for your DTG Digital® G4 makes a big difference
DTG G4 Direct To Garment Printer uses DuPont™ Artistri® Color F Series digital textile inks which are a step-change in technology, offering a 30% improvement in color compared to previous generation digital DTG inks. The ink system significantly streamlines the DTG workflow, saving both time and manpower. Color F Series inks are the first to provide support for next generation industrial printers that print up to three times faster. When coupled with DuPont full process technical support and world-class, ISO 9000 certified production standards, Color F Series is the ink platform that easily integrates into industrial DTG production.
DuPont™ Artistri® Color F Series inks are delivered in a set of 200 ml cartridges. The DTG G4 print engine allows less white ink settling, typically higher viscosity and surface tensions enabling continual repeatable prints. There’s less air in the ink delivery to nozzle plates, so you get more printing without the maintenance levels currently seen in the market. Thus, seemingly small volume of the cartridge compared to other commercial printers on the market, will last long in a production run.
The inks are sealed in ultra-sonic degassed ink bags inside the cartridges, and supplied with encrypted chip per each cartridge.
White ink circulation increases the G4 performance with minimal operator intervention
White Ink Management System (WIMS) delivers continual movement and eliminates the white ink settling, a common occurrence in DTG systems. The new G4 DTG WIMS is entirely new – firstly inks are sealed in an ultra-sonic degassed ink bag – inks are then pumped to the G4 DTG head damper. While printing, the ink stored in the damper is called upon for printing – while the machine is idle, the G4 WIMS will syphon ink, still under a degassed state, from the bag and into the damper. Then at timed intervals the G4 WIMS will reverse the flow from the damper to the bag. The overall result is that the inks are constantly moving and under pressure. Eliminating settling in the cartridges, ink lines, print head and damper. A warning notifies operators to shake the ink every 13 hours – it’s simple!

This ink is specially developed for direct-to-garment or digital printing on cotton or cotton-rich blends for a wide variety of apparel and specialty applications. These aqueous-based inks are designed to work in DTG Digital® G4 direct to garment printer and is suitable for high-quality sampling, strike offs and production printing.
